"I was attracted to studying Bachelor of Applied Science (Medical Radiation) - now called Bachelor of Medical Radiation Science - at Charles Sturt University (CSU) because of the combination of science, art, and patient care within the degree. CSU was my first choice university because of its sense of community and healthy learning environment. The opportunity to complete practical placements meant I was able to apply theoretical knowledge to develop my clinical skills while completing my degree.
"CSU provided me with the skills and knowledge to succeed in my current position as Chief Radiographer at the X-ray Group. In this role I manage the clinical services division which includes managing the team of radiographers (who happen to all be CSU graduates) along with making sure that our work environment is as healthy as possible, ensuring our team is supported, continually challenged and stimulated, while aiding career progression.
"As a radiographer, I love the balance of science and art that Medical Imaging offers and the ability to be involved in helping the local community is also very rewarding. My advice to future CSU students would be to live each day as if it were your last but learn like you’ll live forever."
