"CSU's Bachelor of Education (K-12 Middle Schooling) offers a unique education degree allowing students to gain qualifications in both primary and secondary school, focusing on the middle school years. This provides graduates with the best opportunities as a new teacher.

"The practical placements are definitely the best part of the course. They give you the opportunity to put what you have learnt into practice as well as learn from other experienced educators. I went on numerous placements throughout NSW to primary schools, high schools and even a school holiday camp on the south coast.

"I actively participated in various academic, social and sporting activities while at uni, which all contributed to my ability to teach. I was also involved in the CSU Education Club which organised social and fundraising events for education students, allowing me to develop my organisational and team skills.

"If you enjoy a challenge, working with lots of interesting people, and want to make a difference, then this course is for you. The course is demanding but the personal benefits are very rewarding."
