Various sources of financial aid are available to students undertaking an overseas study experience. Please look at the categories below to find one that is appropriate for you.

OS HELP Loan
The OS-HELP is a loan of up to available to eligible undergraduate students enrolled in a Commonwealth supported place who want to undertake some of their study overseas. OS-HELP can be used for a range of expenses such as airfares, accommodation, and other travel or study expenses. Students may receive one loan per six-month study period and can access a total of two OS-HELP loans over their lifetime (please note that other conditions also apply).

Residence Life Travel Scholarship
Residence Life recognises the outstanding work and commitment to continual improvement demonstrated by students within the Charles Sturt University (CSU) Halls of Residence. The CSU Division of Finance would like to further its commitment to the academic advancement of students by offering the opportunity for up to two exceptional students each year, to access an International Travel Scholarship of up to $2,500. The scholarship will support international travel or domestic travel that is beyond standard university practicum placements. This scholarship will be offered to students who show outstanding commitment to Academic Excellence and who contribute to the positive enhancement of the student community, residential life on campus and CSU as their chosen University. (please note that other conditions also apply).
Value: up to $2500

Eligibility:
Nominations are to be submitted in pdf format via email to the Student Initiatives Coordinator, Joanne McRae at jomcrae@csu.edu.au. A confirmation of receipt will be sent to all applicants upon submission. The selection panel will review applications and make a determination of the successful applicant(s) by Monday 13 May 2012.

Your Scholarship and Travel Grant Responsibilities
Being involved in an international study program is an amazing and fulfilling opportunity. In return we ask that you share this experience with others and encourage your peers to explore these life changing opportunities also!
You will be required to nominate a number of activities/tasks you will undertake to promote CSU Global to the wider community:
- Assist at information sessions/lectures as designated by the CSU Global Promotional Assistant
- Create a 5 minute presentation of your international experience presentation for promotional purposes. This can be PowerPoint /pod cast /video or other medium
- Provide photographs of your trip to CSU Global for use in promotional and marketing items
- Submit an article about your experience to internal and external media groups
- Speak to internal and external media for interview purposes
- Assist the International Student Club to organise and run one activity
- Publish a blog whilst undertaking your overseas experience
- Post photos and/or updates through various CSU Global social media pages
You will also be required to sign a media release allowing your photos and images of you to be used for promotional and marketing purposes.
Your commitment will be discussed in your pre-departure session before you embark on your program.
