International Experience Program - Wales

School of Policing Studies / Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security (AGSPS)

Topic Area: Policing studies

This intensive program will involve a one week residential program with other policing students from the UK and Germany. The curriculum will include discussion on International Policing and Justice Studies with a focus on Community Policing and Best Practice. Site visits to UK Policing venues will also be arranged.

Program Dates: 27 May to 31 May, 2013

Number of places:  10
NB: this program will require 10 students to proceed.

Program Cost: Approx. AUD $775.00

Costs should include: Program fee, accommodation, breakfast and some meals.

Note: If you wish to extend your stay, accommodation can be arranged at the bed and breakfast at a cost of approx $50 per night. 

This is an individually ticketed program (students to purchase their own flights and travel insurance). Students who receive academic recognition (to be organised with your course director) can apply for the Vice Chancellor’s Travel Grant ($500).

Eligibility: Bachelor of Justice Studies (Policing), Bachelor of Policing, Bachelor of Policing (Investigations) students and postgraduate students from the Australian Graduate School of Policing and Security(AGSPS)

Credit:   One 8 point subject which will be assessed according to your level of study (you must still have sufficient subjects to study to be eligible for the credit).
