Timeline:
In order to ensure you have all your travel arrangements in place it is best to begin this planning at the beginning of the year in which you wish to complete your internship. You must liaise with your Professional Experience Office to ensure that you are eligible to complete your internship abroad.
Process:
- Gain permission from your course coordinator to undertake your internship overseas.
- You must undertake the internship at a school where the language of instruction is English. This means in an English speaking country or in an International (or IB) school in a non English country.
- Start looking for schools you would like to go to. You may like to ask your PE Office if where students have undertaken their internship in the past. Remember, not all schools will want to accept an intern so this process can take time.
- Liaise with your PE office to ensure that the school is aware of the assessment documentation that they will be required to complete.
- When you have received permission from your course coordinator and from your international school please contact CSU Global to have your travel grant processed. Email: lhaberecht@csu.edu.au for the travel grant application.
Costs:
You will be responsible for the cost of your own meals and accommodation.
You are also responsible for your flights, insurance, visa and any other related travel expenses.
