Food Cooperatives are not for profit businesses run by their members for their members. The aim of a food cooperative is to provide access to affordable food products and promote organic and locally grown produce. Such a wholefood cooperative is a sustainable initiative and reduces energy and resource consumption by the reduction in food processing, food packaging and transport. When shopping at cooperatives and purchasing local produce you can be sure you are minimising your environmental footprint by reducing waste to landfill and fossil fuel consumption, as well as supporting the local economy.

Cooperatives are a form of community environmental and social awareness and empowerment providing the ability to make ethical decisions about how and where our money is spent. Support your local wholefood cooperative.
