Nine Locals Graduate with a CSU Bachelor of Business Studies

The talent pool of qualified business professionals in Griffith and Leeton has received a welcome boost with the graduation of nine students in the locally offered Bachelor of Business Studies from Charles Sturt University (CSU).
The students have all completed the business program which is offered at the Griffith campus of TAFE NSW Riverina Institute and combines university and TAFE studies.
The students received their awards from the University's Chancellor, Mr Lawrence Willett, AO, at the CSU graduation ceremony in Albury-Wodonga.
The local business program is a three year full-time program where students are co-enrolled in Charles Sturt University and TAFE NSW Riverina Institute. Not only do students graduate with a Bachelor of Business Studies from CSU, they also gain a Certificate IV in Frontline Management, Diploma of Management and Advanced Diploma of Management, all from TAFE NSW Riverina Institute.
CSU's Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Professor Ross Chambers congratulated the nine graduates on attaining their qualifications and said the graduates are a valuable asset in the business community.
"It is especially pleasing that of the three students to have graduated with distinction in the Bachelor of Business Studies, two of these are from Griffith. It is a reflection of the high calibre of students that are going through the program in Griffith. Sam McLeod and Adam Signor should both be extremely proud of attaining their degrees with distinction," he said.
Graduate, Mr Sam McLeod said he was very proud to have graduated from Charles Sturt University with a Bachelor of Business Studies.
"It is a fantastic degree and we are very fortunate to be able to undertake it all at the local TAFE campus. The local lecturers are very highly qualified and committed to providing the best learning environment for their students. Local teacher Rod White has been a driving force in the success of the program," Mr McLeod said. Director of Riverina Institute Ms Kerry Penton, warmly congratulated the nine graduates. "Riverina Institute is proud to jointly offer this outstanding business studies program with Charles Sturt University. These people have studied locally, they are employed locally, and they will no doubt make an outstanding contribution to their place of work."
A total of 28 students have now graduated from the program since it was first offered in 2004.
