Far end or remote site The Video Conference site you are conferencing to.
Near end Were you are
Video call Connection via a Video Conference unit
Voice Call Connection via telephone ( can be from anywhere on and off campus )
2 way conference 2 Video Conference units are connected directly, one unit has called the other direct and other units cannot join in
Multi point conference More than 2 Video Conference units are connected into the one conference, these units are all connected automatically or using a conference ID. The connection of these units is managed by the Codian (Bridge).
Codian, Bridge or MCU Are the same thing, the bridge allows more than 2 Video Conference units to be connected at the same time for a meeting. Also used to make automatic calls and to create conferences.
Video Conference Unit A Video Conference unit Brand name and is the only brand used by CSU, another brand is Tandberg.
Video Conference Unit PVS128 
Is the older type units that are still in use in some areas.
Video Conference Unit VSX7000 or VSX6000 
are the newer units that are in use and being installed.
