Disciplines are the key academic building block. Disciplines define a University and, by extension, its courses, subjects, research and workforce. The discipline profile not only guides and focuses the institution towards its strengths, it establishes the link between teaching and research information. The CSU Process Model demonstrates the importance of disciplines as a precursor to core processes. The resources provided below describe a case study which was undertaken as part of CSU’s Workplace Productivity Program and exemplify how the organisation utilised the University process model to focus on a particular process and undertake improvements.
