Data Standards

This document provides a description of the data standards to be applied in the capture, management and use of data (assets) that are shared across organisational systems, also referred to as master data. This includes established and recognised new master data. Click here to view the Data Standard document.

Infrastructure Standards

This document provides a list of the Infrastructure standards to be applied in the purchase, management and use of technologies and infrastructure that underpins organisational applications and services.  The standards do not describe what is currently supported in the CSU environment but rather the minimum versions and technologies that a new technology must interoperate with at the current point in time. Click here to view the Infrastructure Standard document.

Application Standards

This document provides a description of the standards required by applications used by Charles Sturt University. Click here to view the Application Standard document.

Master Data Integration Standards

This document describes the standards to which data being shared or copied between one or more application must conform to. All data transferred between applications must be handled by the middleware layer (webMethods). Click here to view the Application Standard document.

Definition

EA&L use the Business Dictionary definition of a standard in collaboration with key stakeholders being:

"A written definition, limit, or rule, approved and monitored for compliance by an authoritative agency or professional or recognised body as a minimum acceptable benchmark".
