Accessing your email, CSU Applications and P&S Drives from Home
How to get your email
- You can access your CSU email using a home computer that is connected to the internet via WebOutlook.
- WebOutlook is available in the IT Services Quicklinks in my.csu or here - all you need to do is to get to the internet, enter my.csu.edu.au into the address line, have your login id and password ready, choose the IT Services quick links on the LHS, click on WebOutlook
- Known issues – It is possible that the latest version of WebOutlook can’t be reached in some instances. This could be for various reasons including the type of browser you are using, or your Internet Service Provider. if the computer you are using has another browser eg Netscape as opposed to Internet Explorer, try it. If no good, try using Thin Client and running Outlook from within Thin Client
- Support – The IT Service Desk can assist you and the IT Training Team also provides training and modules in the use of WebOutlook
- Tips – Try it out at work beforehand, be aware that the service may not be available in certain circumstances
How to get a CSU Desktop and/or your P&S drive
- You can get to these applications using ‘CSU Thin Client Computing via the Web’ on a home computer that is connected to the internet
- You will be able to run the full version of Outlook, access your P&S drive data and other standard CSU programs such as MS Office
- The links to this service are available in the IT Services Quicklinks in my.csu or here - all you need to do is connect to the internet, enter my.csu.edu.au into the address line, have your login id and password ready, choose the IT Services quick links on the LHS, click on Thin Client Access
- Known issues – It is possible that you will need to install a small ‘plugin’ to the computer you are using to access Thin Client. As you are at home, this should not be a problem as it is not ‘locked down’.
- Support – The IT Service Desk can assist you and the IT Training Team also provides training and modules in the use of Thin Client
- Tips – Try it out at work beforehand, be aware that the service may not be available in certain circumstances.
