Initial Voicemail Setup
1) Dial the Voicemail number from your own extension. Depending on which campus you work at the number will vary.

2) You will now be greeted with the voice of a helpful electronic lady.You will be asked to enter your Initial Security code:
0000 (double zero, double zero).
3) She will first tell you that you are a new user and will need to setup your voice mailbox. This will only take a few minutes and involves changing your security code, recording your name and recording a personal greeting.
First you must enter your new security code. This can be any length from 4 to 15 digits and should not be your voice mailbox number.
- Enter your security code, followed by the hash (#) key.
- For confirmation, re-enter your security code, followed by the hash (#) key.
- The electronic lady will now verify that your security code has been changed.
Record a name to identify your voice mailbox
- Note this is only your name NOT a message. For example, “Jim Bob”.
- To start recording press 2
- To finish recording your name only press 2
- To save press 5 press 6 to review.
- Record a personal Greeting for your voice mailbox– this is the message played to people who wish to leave a message.
- To make a new recording press 2
- To start recording press 2 again
- To finish recording press 2
- To save the message press 5
- To review the message press 6
- To discard the message and re-record the message press 4.
Congratulations! You have now successfully completed the setup of your voice mailbox.
To change voice mailbox options after initial setup of voice mailbox
For changing your Personal Greeting, Security Code and your Recorded Name on your existing voice mailbox.

Dial the voicemail number
Enter pin code
Press "3" to enter Phone Manager options
Press "1" to enter Personal Options
Press "3" to record a Personal Greeting
To change your security code:
Dial the voicemail number
Enter the current pin code
Press "3" – to enter Phone Manager options
Press "1" – to enter Personal Options
Press "4" – to change the current Security Code
To change your Recorded Name:
Dial the voicemail number
Enter the current pin code
Press "3" – to enter Phone Manager options
Press "1" – to enter Personal Options
Press "5" – to change the current Security Code

You can access your Voicemail externally or from extensions other than your own within the University.
Accessing your Voicemail from outside the University
Dial the Voicemail System:

Listen to and follow the System Prompts.
Note that the voice mailbox number is your internal extension number, for example 84997.

Diverting Your Phone to Voicemail
Note: This procedure MUST be carried out from your extension
To initiate diversion:
Dial *21*32020#

To remove diversion:

Dial 00 when listening to message
To reset voicemail notification
Use this command when your message waiting light is flashing indicating that there is a voicemail message but in fact there is no message. This also applies if your phone is ringing once also indicating you have a message.
