Module One
This module will take you through the steps of creating a Captivate presentation by importing a PowerPoint and adding narration. You can view an example of a narrated PowerPoint here or you can view a video of the step by step process of creating this project.
The advantages of converting your PowerPoints to Captivate include:
- Smaller file sizes
- Easy to create and edit
- Greater engagement to the content for the student
- Simple to learn
- Accounts for different learning styles
Presentations with narration offer students information in a transmissive manner which is good for when students just need to be given it. However, they are a non interactive form of resource and it is a passive form of learning. Students may learn better when actively engaged in the content.
Click on the "Play button" or the "Start button" to begin.
