What Is This Service?

Software Downloads provides software for installation on CSU owned computers and for installation on personally owned computers.

Commercial software that has been site licensed by CSU and links to freely distributable software are provided for staff. Site licensing allows CSU to provide commercial software for free to staff to download, install and use on a CSU owned computer or their own computer.

What Is Included?

  • Ability to download software from the CSU website
  • Site licensing to cover installation and use of specific commercial software on CSU owned computers and personal computers
  • Instructions for installation and configuration of software (where required)
  • Provision of Leximancer and VPN for installation on CSU owned computers
  • Provision of Sophos Antivirus to protect personal computers and Endnote bibliographic citation software to assist with reference management

How Do I Initiate This Service?

Visit the Software Downloads page and enter your username and password when prompted. If you do not enter a valid username and password combination you will be unable to access this page. Select the type of software you require to view the list. Download and install required software.

Software Downloads is also provided as a quicklink under IT Services in my.csu, it is named Download Software

How Much Does It Cost?

The provision, maintenance, support and access to the software downloads page is funded by the University and provided at no additional cost to staff. The required software licensing costs are also funded by the University so software is available at no additional cost to staff.

Installation instructions are provided where necessary for preferred software. If you cannot access the software downloads page or cannot download the software contact the IT Service Desk.
