Printing Services - Using Pharos
"Pharos Stations" are located near the printers in the Student Computer Labs.
Step 1
At a Pharos Station moving the mouse will display the following screen.
Step 2
Logon screen will appears.
Step 3
- Type your logon Id and password.
- Then press enter or click on Logon
Step 4
A screen will appear listing your documents.
Step 5
To print a document.
- Use the mouse to highlight a document/s.
- Click on Print.
The selected documents will be sent to the printer.
Step 6
After printing out your document/s
- Click on exit to quit and logout.
Pharos FAQ
Q: When I try to log on to a Pharos Station this message appears and I end up at the logon screen again. Why?
A: Changes have been made at the Pharos Server. When the Pharos Station connects to the server it finds changes have occurred and does an update.
You will need to logon again.
Q: What do the brackets around my balance mean?
A: It means your balance is in arrears (Negative Balance).
Q: How do I pay my Balance?
A: Charges for printing will be transferred to the Finance Section at set time intervals. You can make payments for printing charges at Finance.
Q: What Does This Screen Mean?
A: It means you typed either your username or password incorrectly. Try to logon again.
Q: How do I delete a document that I don’t want to print anymore?
A: Highlight the document and click on the delete button to remove the document.
Q: Why does my document disappear when I try to print it out?
A: Pharos system is set up to remove documents that are not correctly formatted. Check the page set up to make sure the paper size is set to A4.
You are not charged for documents that are deleted by the Pharos system.
