Getting Started

Access

If you have a CSU login and password, you can use Thin Client services. You do not need to register or request any special access, however you may need to download certain software or "plug-ins".

Access to Thin Client is available through the IT Services section in my.csu for Windows computers (Internet Explorer 6 or higher is required). Mac users please click here

Types of Desktops

Thin Client at CSU provides you with a choice of desktops all are Windows based. Each Desktop provides a different range of software or applications. The following provides some explanations to software and a different range of applications.

• Staff Desktop - Staff Only access, includes all standard CSU corporate applications such as Microsoft Office, Internet Explorer, SPSS, Procite, Nvivo
• Staff Non-standard - Includes all standard CSU corporate applications plus less regularly used applications such as Beims, Quantum etc
• Non-standard (staff and students) - Includes Maple 9, SPSS, Procite, Rational Rose
