Contractor Safety
The engaging of external contractors plays an integral part of the Divisions function within the University. The following information provides an outline of the processes of our contractor induction system to ensure our Work Health & Safety obligations are met and we maintain a safe campus environment for our students, staff and visitors.
Contractors are required to have and maintain appropriate WHS documentation, licenses and practices prior to engagement and maintain these while working on University premises.
Contractor General Site Induction Package
Contractors working at the University are to comply with the requirements of the Work Health & Safety Act, the Regulations and relevant Codes of Practice. Additionally, Contractors are expected to comply with relevant University policies unless otherwise agreed.
Declaration
All contractors are required undertake the Contractor General Site Induction prior to performing work at the University and return a declaration stating that their work practices will comply with the relevant statutory and University policies.
Insurances
All contractors are required to have and maintain their relevant insurances during the period of work at the University. Copies of Certificates of Currency are required to be provided to an authorised officer of the University prior to the commencement of works and at regular intervals on request.
CSU Contractor ID Badges and Contractor site log book
All contractors are required to report to the Divisions office at each campus on arrival and complete the contractor site log book and collect a CSU contractor ID badge.
