Emergency Warden Seminars

In early 2017, the Division of Facilities Management, with the support of the Vice-Chancellor's Leadership Team, embarked on the Emergency Warden recruitment and renewal program.

To recognise wardens for their contribution to Emergency Management at CSU, Emergency Warden Seminars are being conducted with the objective of:

  • Building warden confidence and experience through formal information sessions and informal networking.
  • Providing the opportunity for discussion and feedback between wardens and key DFM emergency and critical incident response staff on campus.

The seminars are in addition to the compulsory face to face warden training and the annual trial evacuations.

The 90 minute seminar will consist of informative presentations including a guest speaker, and a Q&A panel. Following the seminar Wardens will have the opportunity for networking with the presenters and other wardens over light refreshments.
