Preparedness

Preparedness activities establish arrangements and plans, and provide education and information to prepare the community to deal effectively with such emergencies and disasters as may eventuate

Training

CSUs 'Fire and Emergency procedures' online training module is to be completed by all staff on commencement at the University and then as a refresher every two years. All satisfactory completions are recorded for evidence in the University's training register. See Fire and Emergency Procedures.

In the preparation of a building 'Site Emergency Plan', the Manager WHS (Facilities) can be requested to attend the building and guide the warden group in its establishment and provide a 'walk through' highlighting the emergency features of the building, as well as answering questions or addressing concerns. The conduct of a trial evacuation is also suggested to test the developed plan (annually).
