Project Brief

Currently on the Wagga Wagga campus, CSU have an Early Learning + Nurture Centre (EL+NC) accommodating 36 children (North campus) and a short stay preschool at South campus.  Both of these buildings have a number of functional deficiencies which hinder their functionality and ongoing usability.

After a review of the existing facilities and considering of a number of options, on the existing sites and a number of alternative locations on campus, CSU are now moving forward with the development of a new purpose built Early Learning + Nurture Centre (EL+NC) to be located to the eastern side of Nathan Cobb Drive.

The new facility has been specifically designed to meet the growing needs of a growing service, accommodating up to 56 children in a long day care centre, across the three age groups of 0-2 years, 2-3 years and 3-5 years.

The design will meet current and emerging learning centre design principles and legislative requirements, with improved functionality, creating a new and exciting environment for the nurturing of the young minds. The development also includes dedicated car parking and a drop off facilities.

The New Early Learning Centre will be registered with NSW Community Services as a long day care centre.  The existing pre-school facilities will close when the new facilities are complete.
