This project comprises the installation of a passenger lift to service the five occupied floor levels in Gordon Beavan Building 673 Albury-Wodonga Campus.

Design Features

The building is currently served by a lift that is now at the end of its' serviceable life and provides access to levels 1, 3 and 5 only. The project scope includes decommissioning of the existing lift.

This project will meet Australian standard safety requirements, including installation of new handrails, emergency lighting and a direct telephone line in lift car. General comfort for lift passengers includes lighting, air ventilation and acoustics management to meet appropriate standards, and new carpet will be laid.

The lift will be sited adjacent to the stairs located at the main entrance to the building.

Progress report

A construction contractor (Joss Construction) has been engaged for the project and is currently establishing their site facilities and completing final detailed design works.
