    Construction works will commence on Monday 31st July 2017 at the Boorooma Street entrance, adjacent to the existing bus lay-by on exiting the campus. Work is due for completion by Wednesday 27th of September 2017, weather permitting. The bus timetable remains unchanged and the Division of Facilities Management anticipate no disruption to service.

    Staff and students are reminded to be cautious of the works whilst in the area and follow direction as sign posted and/or directed under local traffic control.

Scope

The Division of Facilities Management is rolling out the 2017 – 2019 planned program works that involves new Bus Shelters across CSU Campuses. The first of these works include a new Bus Shelter for Wagga Wagga Campus. The bus shelter will be available for staff and students and will provide protection and safety from the elements such as rain, sun and wind.

Design Features

The bus shelter will enhance traffic movement and identity of the campus. The bus shelter will encourage staff and students to use sustainability public transport to travel to and from the University. The shelter will provide opportunities to market the campus image, branding, University related advertisement and educational related information.

Passive Design Features:

  • Glazing – Toughen Safety Glass

Energy:

  • Lighting – Solar LED

Water:

  • Sub-surface irrigation
  • Selection of plants for landscaping with low water requirements

Materials:

  • Integrated fit out (as opposed to shell & core) modular design
  • Waste management during construction
  • Waste collection co-mingle
  • Low VOC finishes powder coated
  • Minimal use of PVC's
