Project Brief

Funding has been granted to replace the cooling towers at five substantive buildings on the Bathurst Campus. The cooling towers are to be replaced with BAC or approved equivalent fibreglass cooling towers with capaciities to match existing, complete with new mounts, water treatments modules and interconnecting pipe work.

The program of works, which is dependent on the supply on the new cooling towers, is proposed as follows:

1. Building C03 - Library - 14 April to 28 April (commissioning to 12 May 2008)

2. Building S15 - Teaching - 12 May to 9 June 2008

3. Building C07 - McDonaghs, 9 June to 30 June 2008

4. Building C01 - Philips, 30 June 2008 to 28 July 2008

5. Building S14 - Nursing - 28 July to 18 August 2008

Staff and students are advised to keep well clear of defined work areas and plant required for the project. Cranes and large vehicles will be on site for the delivery of the new towers. No interruptions to building services are anticipated. If services do need to be interrupted, occupants of the building will be notified. Any questions or concerns can be submitted via the Divisions feed back facility at http://www.csu.edu.au/division/facilitiesm/feedback.htm
