Project Brief
This project provides 19 residential units (20 beds) that will be used as part of CSU's plan to provide cross-campus access to accommodation for clinical placements.
This project was possible due to $1,437,480.00 of funding made available by Health Workforce Australia as an Australian Government Initiative.
Architectural Features
Residential accommodation - providing a facility for visiting students and academics requiring on-campus short term accommodation. The apartments are to be designed for independent living and are to be in keeping with the university’s environmental principals.
Elements incorporated are:
- 19 residential units (20 beds) – incorporating:
- 7 x studio apartments (Kitchenette only)
- 10 x 1 bedroom apartments (Kitchen)
- 1 x 2 bed apartment (Kitchen)
- 1 x D/A( disability) apartment (Kitchen)
- 1 carpark per bed (20)
- All units to have double beds and ensuites
- Individually controlled access cards
- Communal laundry facility
- ICT/Comms in keeping with CSU standards
- Garbage servicing
- 5 star green star rating
- It is envisaged that the development will be max. 2 storey
The project includes the provision of relevant infrastructure and service upgrades, landscape surrounds and outdoor social space.
