Project Brief
The Division is Facilities Management is currently upgrading the front entrance at the Wagga Wagga Campus to bring its style inline with the other University campus entrances.
The works will include:
- the wing wall on the Farrer road side is to be demolished with the pavers in front of the wall being removed and turned into an open grassed area.
- the wall in the centre island will be reduced in height and have a planter box introduced into the front of the wall.
- both the Campus Directional Wall and the revamped centre Entrance Wall will be rendered and painted to lift their appearance.
- new signage, lighting and vegetation will be included to make the University entrance move inviting.
For the safe conduct of the works, the contractor will employ traffic controls that may include short term use of stop/ slow traffic control. Staff and students are reminded to be vigilant in the area and obey traffic control instructions while driving in the area.
Pedestrians are advised to choose alternative paths to avoid walking near the area of the works.
Staff and students are encouraged to use the Pine gully road entrance if possible for the duration of the works.
