Welcome to the University's Insurance Information website. It is in the interest of members of the University community to ensure that any activity undertaken on behalf of the University is adequately covered by insurance. The intention of this web site is to enable you to access information in respect to the insurance coverage provided by Charles Sturt University.
The Division of Financial Services is responsible for the arrangement and administration of the University's insurances. Our core insurance policies are effected through Unimutual Ltd. The core insurances include policies for Public and Products Liability, Professional Liability, Property, Director & Officers and Malpractice. The non core insurances are effected through international insurance brokers, Aon Risk Services Australia Limited. The non core insurances include policies for Motor Vehicle, Contract Works and Travel. The University also effects policies for Personal Accident Cover for Students and Casual Hirers Liability.

Insurance Terminology
- Deductible
Most insurance claims are subject to a deductible, sometimes known as the excess. The nominated amount is deducted from the claim value and the balance is paid. - Indemnity
Protection from loss and damage claims filed by another person.
