For Staff - Procurement Board Thresholds
The following table details the approved thresholds and procurement method to apply from the 1st January 2009. Staff are advised that whilst these are the minimum requirements, additional quotes should be obtained in circumstances where the goods & services are either competitively priced or are readily available.
For example, whilst the price of a Sanyo video camera maybe below $2,000 it would be prudent to verify the pricing from other known suppliers to ensure that the University and responsible area is obtaining the best possible price.
On the other hand, there will be occasions where the goods and/or services are of a specialist nature which restricts and limits the number of quotations received. In these circumstances the requisitioner must provide a statement outlining what research has been undertaken to determine potential supplier/s.
