HECS and HECS-HELP funded student fees
If you are enrolled in a HECS funded course as at the census date, you will incur a HECS-HELP liability. To avoid this liability, you will need to withdraw from a course or subject in writing (or on Student Administration's Online Administration Office web page) prior to the HECS census date.
If you have paid your HECS charges up front and you are subsequently withdrawn prior to the census date, you are entitled to a full refund of your HECS payment, less any amounts owing to CSU. Contact your HECS-HELP coordinator on your campus for more details.
If you withdraw from your course or subject after the HECS census date, depending upon circumstances causing this withdrawal, you can apply to have your HECS-HELP debt for the session remitted. If you believe your circumstances may entitle you to remission, contact your HECS-HELP coordinator at the relevant campus.
Further information regarding HECS-HELP is available at the StudyAssist.gov.au website.
