Timeline for Performance Recognition and Awards

 

October- December 
  • Performance management meetings are held for academic staff.
  • On completion of performance management, local workplace recognition of academic staff rated as “exceeds requirements” or “outstanding performance” occurs.
End January Deans/Deputy Vice-Chancellors :
  • finalise academic staff performance management activity [and send report to HR]
  • issue letters of congratulations to all academic  staff rated as “exceeds requirements” or “outstanding performance
Supervisors nominate outstanding staff for Faculty Awards:
  • Teaching Excellence
  • Research Excellence
  • Research Supervision Excellence
  • Professional Excellence
February Deans select and notify recipients of Faculty Awards and ask the Division of Human Resources to organise internal funds transfers for the professional development of the award recipients.
January-March
  • Performance management meetings are held for general staff.
  • On completion of performance management, local workplace recognition of general staff rated as “exceeds requirements” or “outstanding performance” occurs.
Supervisors nominate outstanding staff for Faculty/Division Awards in :
  • Leadership Excellence [academic and general staff ]  and
  • Performance Excellence [general staff]
1 Feburary Nominations open for Vice-Chancellor’s Awards :
  • Teaching Excellence [academic staff]
  • Research Excellence [academic staff]
  • Research Supervision Excellence [academic staff]
1 March
  • Professional Excellence [academic staff]
  • Leadership Excellence [academic and general staff] 
  • Performance Excellence [general staff]
  • Programs that Enhance Learning
End April Deans/Executive Directors/DVCs 
  • finalise general staff performance management activity [and send report to HR]
  • issue letters of congratulations to all general  staff rated as “exceeds requirements” or “outstanding performance
  • select and notify recipients of Faculty/Division Awards in Performance Excellence and Leadership Excellence  and ask the Division of Human Resources to  organise internal funds transfers for the professional development of the award recipients.
Nominations close for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards.
May Selection committees for the Vice-Chancellor’s Awards meet.
End of June Combined Faculty/Division/ Vice-Chancellor’s Awards ceremonies are held at Bathurst and Wagga Wagga.
The Division of Human Resources organises internal funds transfers for the professional development of the award recipients.
