Ethical Responsibilities

Staff employed by CSU should be inducted in a consistent manner in their compliance and ethical responsibilities, regardless of their classification of employment. Managers will ensure the casual staff member is aware of and understands their obligations in relation to employment conditions and performance.

Position specific

In addition, Faculties and Divisions will identify other compliance information to be provided to casual staff, that relates specifically to their workplace or the work being undertaken, eg:

  • Copyright
  • Records Management (as applicable to the position)
  • Safety procedures relating to employment in specific areas – eg: laboratories.
  • Council and Senate Policies applicable to the work being undertaken.
