Contact HR to review CVs via Web Kiosk. Employ a family member, friend, neighbour or anyone with whom someone in your section has a close personal relationship - this is considered a conflict of interest.
Ensure the person has the appropriate qualifications for their level of appointment. Contact local employment agencies to find temporary staff - equity and industrial issues arise when conditions of employment are inconsistent with Enterprise Agreements.

Check that the person is legally entitled to work in Australia before you employ them.

Assume that a person is a good worker because they have worked in other sections of the University - check with their previous supervisor.
