Ensure the person has the appropriate qualifications for their level of appointment Employ a family member, friend, neighbour or anyone with whom someone in your section has a close personal relationship - this is considered a conflict of interest.

Check that the person is legally entitled to work in Australia before you employ them. (Check with HR if unsure.)

Employ the person without contacting their referees.
