"In my acceptance speech for the Vice-Chancellor's award I expressed that I was both honoured and pleased to receive the award. Being recognised for effort and initiative over a number of years was an affirming and positive experience. Sharing the presentation day with both family and colleagues was rewarding and a highlight in my career at CSU. While accepting the nomination and helping develop the application meant putting myself and my work under scrutiny, reflecting on past and present activities and achievements , reading my supervisors and referees comments about them was very encouraging.
Given this experience, I'd recommend other supervisors to consider nominating their staff for the awards".
Lincoln Gill. Manager - Faculty ED & Media Team. Division of Learning & Teaching Services.

"It was an honour to be nominated for and receive the Vice-Chancellor's award for Research in 2009. Obtaining official recognition from the University for my research achievements since beginning at CSU was a humbling and rewarding experience. I was pleased to attend the awards presentation so I could publicaly acknowledge all the wonderful people who have supported me".
Gary Luck. Associate Professor - Natural Resource Management. School of Environmental Sciences.

"As teachers we can never really know the impact that we have on others - lives. The nomination process and the award itself provided the opportunity to reflect upon and share my teaching experiences with peers and students, both current and past. It has been a very affirming experience."
Dr Jennifer Sappey. Lecturer - Sociology. School of Humanities and Social Sciences.

"Receiving a Vice Chancellor's award has been an exceptionally rewarding experience. To be personally recognised for the commitment and dedication that I have undertaken over the past number years, to enhance clinical and professional education for Allied Health students, has been a significant highlight in my professional career. This award was also an important affirmation that was noted within the national professional body, of the recognition and commitment CSU has towards the education of high quality podiatry students."
Kristy Robson. Lecturer - Podiatry. School of Community Health.

"The funding I received from the award has enabled me to take part in a range of professional development activities which I'd normally not have been able to access. These opportunities have given me even more ideas that I am bringing back to my job - it just makes your work so much more satisfying".

"The team in the Faculty of Arts office have put in some hard yards over the past couple of years while also ensuring that the office contributed to the University community. We are all very pleased that our work was recognised in a formal way. Our framed team award is mounted in the office hall and the staff framed and mounted individual copies in their own offices".
