Salaries, Increments and Allowances
Salary is paid fortnightly in arrears by electronic funds transfer in accordance with the Pay Day Calendar for 2013.

It is appropriate to pay a higher duties allowance when a staff member is:

To undertake a project with responsibilities at a higher level than the employee's ordinary work;
Pending structural change

It is appropriate to make an acting appointment:

The absence of the incumbent of a position on leave or secondment;
Pending recruitment after the resignation of an employee or to a newly established position

As part of the Performance Management Scheme, the University operates on common anniversary dates. Subject to satisfactory performance, staff may progress within the salary range for their level until the maximum salary step is reached.
