Coping with Change

Information

In a globally competitive market, the University must continue to adapt and respond to external changes, opportunities and challenges to ensure that it is well positioned within the higher education sector.  This means that we all need to work in a different way in order to deliver the advances and outcomes the University is seeking.

In this environment of rapidly advancing technology and continuous improvement, a base level of change is becoming the norm.

The following diagram sets out the stages people may go through when they are involved in change.

Staff who are having difficulty coping with change may wish to take advantage of the Employee Assistance Program, which provides a free counselling service to assist with personal or work-related issues.
