Influenza Awareness and Vaccination
Staff and supervisors should make themselves aware of the symptoms and effects of the influenza virus on individuals and the workplace by checking the fact sheet below.
'Soldiering on' when suffering from the flu is likely to spread the infection amongst others and to increase recovery time. Staff with ailments or diseases of the heart or lungs, and those who work in high traffic areas such as service counters, should consider the value of vaccination against influenza.
In previous years, the University has offered a flu vaccination program. For a small fee, vaccinations have been given by a registered nurse at the Albury, Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Thurgoona and Wagga Wagga campuses
