Maternity Leave Fund
The Maternity Fund has been set up under the University's Equal Employment Opportunity Programme to assist Faculties and Divisions in covering the cost of replacing staff and covering their workload while on paid maternity leave. Under the 2005-2008 Enterprise Agreement the entitlement for paid maternity leave can be up to 26 weeks' salary. A contribution will be made towards the cost of replacement as follows:
- for A funded positions, 75% of salary for the number of weeks of entitlement at step one of the incumbent's classification level (including oncosts);
- for E and R funded positions, 50% of salary for the number of weeks of entitlement at step one of the incumbent's classification level (including oncosts).
Applications for a funding contribution should be made on the form Maternity Leave (Contribution towards the cost of replacing a staff member) [DOC]. Completed forms must be forwarded to the Secretary, Finance Review Committee, Division of Financial Services, Wagga Wagga Campus, within one year of the maternity leave commencement date.
