Staff Development: Staff Orientation and Induction
Welcome Morning/Afternoon Tea
This activity is an information session and a welcome morning/afternoon tea hosted by the Head of Campus (Bathurst, Dubbo, Orange, Thurgoona and Wagga Wagga). It is an opportunity to formally welcome new staff. Goulburn and Canberra staff may attend the Wagga or Bathurst welcome.
Target Group: All new staff
Dates: March and August .

Vice Chancellor meets new staff
A morning or afternoon tea arranged at each campus. An opportunity for staff to meet with the Vice Chancellor and to hear the vision and higher education challenges and strategic directions for the University.
Target Group: All new staff
Dates: Aligned with welcome morning/afternoon tea

Academic Staff Induction
As part of the Induction and Development Program, sessions about the organisation’s systems and culture, and the expectations on new staff, will be included in the first session of the Foundations of University Learning and Teaching (FULT). A separate program will be conducted for Goulburn and Manly Policing staff.
Target Group: New academic staff

Foundations of University Learning and Teaching (FULT)
A practical introduction to university teaching.
Target Group: academic staff with fewer than three years teaching experience or new staff from industry, and casual academic staff.
Dates: Autumn Session: TBA
Spring Session: TBA
A separate program will be conducted for Goulburn and Manly Policing staff.

Induction to Financial Services
An introduction to the staff and functions of the Division of Financial Services covering services and staff benefits, and use of Banner.
Dates: August, September, October, November (Bathurst; Albury; Wagga Wagga; Goulburn and Canberra).

Staff IT Induction
Introduces new and existing staff to services provided by Division of Information Technology.

Library induction
An induction to the library includes a description of the services offered, the resources that are available and training programs.
