Fieldwork Education is a core and highly valued component of CSU programs. Staff involved in fieldwork education leadership, management, administration and education have a vital and very important role in shaping and fostering the high quality of CSU programs and graduates. |
As Co-ordinator of FEN I welcome you to the FEN website. FEN is a communication network and community of practice for all CSU fieldwork education staff. FEN commenced in 2009 as a revised form of the longstanding Professional Education Network which acted as a voluntary network of members of CSU staff working in professional experience and clinical education roles.
Adoption of the generalised term Fieldwork Education across CSU in 2009 as part of a university review of practice-based education led to a change in name, focus and operation of this group. With the support of the members of PEN, PEN became FEN.
Another change at CSU in 2007 was the introduction of The Education
For Practice Institute . FEN and EFPI share many common goals and interests.
Meetings between FEN and EFPI members during 2007 to 2009 have led to an
agreement for FEN to operate through the infrastructure of EFPI.
