The vision of the research program at EFPI is to explore and advance professional and practice-based education as a personal, embodied, social, situated, relational, political and cultural practice utilising and promoting research practices that are interpretive, creative, theoretically-informed, philosophically-underpinned, reflexive, rigorous and transparent.
Research at EFPI adopts interpretive, participatory, co-productive, arts-based, narrative, critical and experiential frameworks in engaging with students, academics, workplace learning educators and industry partners. We use these frameworks to reveal current educational and professional practices, question taken-for-granted practices, and to explore other possibilities to advance higher education and professional practice. We use research as a powerful transformative source to stimulate reflection, mindfulness and emancipation.
