Why formal University-wide student evaluations?
University-wide Student Evaluations:
- are one of a variety of forms of student, peer and stakeholder feedback;
- offer all students an opportunity to provide systematic feedback on their subjects with a guarantee of confidentiality;
- enable Schools, Faculties and University to monitor the quality of offerings and to work towards continuous quality enhancement (e.g. increase support for casual staff);
- are one way that TEQSA monitors the practices of all Australian Higher Education Providers;
- assists CSU in the interpretation of its performance on the University Experience Survey which provides comparative sector-wide data that is displayed on the MyUniversity website; and
- provide evidence for achievement of Learning and Teaching Standards currently being revised by the Higher Education Standards Panel and assist in demonstrating quality enhancement against these standards. These standards will form part of the revised body of standards against which TEQSA will conduct re-registration of each University.
