Target Staff
Who should attend FULT?
The Deputy Vice Chancellor (Academic) advises that:
it is University policy that all new academic staff at CSU are required to participate in an induction program in university learning and teaching, unless they have already completed an equivalent program. New staff in the latter category are still encouraged to complete a program at CSU as an introduction to the distinctive features of learning and teaching at CSU.
If you wish to be exempted from participation in the induction program because you have completed an equivalent program, please contact your head of school as soon as possible.
At CSU there are two learning and teaching induction programs: FULT and TTC (Tertiary Teaching Colloquium). Note:
- While for most new academic staff, FULT is not a probationary requirement, you are encouraged to complete this program at CSU as an introduction to the distinctive features of learning and teaching at CSU.
- Staff who participate in FULT should do so in their first year, then do TTC in their second year. To meet probation requirements academic staff (except research-only and senior staff) must participate in the TTC unless they have a qualification in university learning and teaching; see the CSU Learning and Teaching website for TTC dates and information.
You are encouraged to discuss your attendance at FULT and TTC with your head of school
