Known Issues
As can be the case with major software or system rollouts, there are some known issues with the current instance of CSU Interact . DIT is working on these issues and users are encouraged to, before logging a Service Desk request to advise of an apparent fault, familiarise themselves with ‘Known Issues' described on this page. These issues needn't be reported, as DIT is already aware of them.

Subject Outline hyperlinks do not wrap in PDF version
If your subject outline contains any long web hyperlinks, then you need to be mindful of the length of the link. When the subject outline is converted to PDF format, these links do not wrap to the next line and if they are too long they will spill off the end of the page and be unreadable in the PDF version of the outline. If you have to include links that are this long, then try using a link minifying service such as http://tiny.cc/ or https://bitly.com/
Cannot import Outlook calendar into Calendar tool with Australian date format
A workaround is to set your Language to English (United Kingdom). To do this, go to My Workspace > Preferences > Language.
FCK Editor issue for Mac users
When copying from Word into the FCK editor on a Mac using Firefox, hyperlinks and styles aren't copied - only text. See details at http://dev.fckeditor.net/ticket/711
FCK Editor - other
When editing content using the FCK editor, the Styles drop down box does not display a style. Use the Format, Font, Size and Colour options to set styles instead.
FCK Editor cannot set font to Arial if using Internet Explorer (defaults to Times New Roman).
Group Email
Group Email displays two addresses - one uppercase, one lowercase.
Group Email does not preserve HTML formatting in messages
HTTP 403 Error
Symptoms
Students receive HTTP 403 errors when visiting an Interact site, either in `Worksite Information' or `Web Content- tools, or anywhere else the Subject Coordinator can place their own content.
The Subject Coordinator may have intended to display images, HTML pages or subject information.
Cause
Some Subject Coordinators upload personalised HTML pages and graphics to use in their Interact subject sites. Sometimes they fail to set correct permissions, or re-use material from one subject site in other subject sites, without realising students cannot see it.
There have been cases where 200840 subject resources are used in 200870 subjects, because the Subject Coordinator could see them in the 200870 site, they assumed students could too.
Resolution
The Subject Coordinator needs to set correct permissions, or move/copy the files to where students have access to them.

Modules - FCK editor & image upload in large sites
Workaround - use Manage > Manage content to upload files > click on image to display image > copy URL > Return to Author section > use Insert image icon > cut & paste URL into FCK image properties editor this will link directly to the image. [updated 9 July 2009]
Modules display
Modules Import/export
Modules too large to import
Although content of any size can be zipped and exported using the Export function in the Modules tool, there is a limit of 20 MB on the size of content that can be imported into Modules using the Import function. There is a straightforward workaround using the Import from Site function. See Importing material from another site in Site Info in CSU Interact Help for details. [July 2009] You can also now export modules individually which decreases teh file size.
Modules: Text may not appear in author window when using Mozilla Firefox browser
Although the Mozilla Firefox browser works well for most tasks and tools within Interact, an issue has been identified where text that has been entered into a module won't display in the author window yet is visible in the student view – this makes editing a section impossible. The solution is to use Internet Explorer version 6.0 or later.
OASIS
With merged sites only the subject coordinator gets manager access to OASIS. An IT Service Desk request for the addition of a staff member as manager to the relevant new merged subject group will need to be made.[updated 9 July 2009]
Subject Outline tool known issues
Known issues associated with the Subject Outlines tool can be found at http://www.csu.edu.au/division/landt/interact/help/sot/known_issues.htm
Resources folder name issues
If a folder name contains a hash (#) or an apostrophe and that folder was created or named using WebDAV, then a user clicking on the folder name will not be able to access the contents of the folder. See details at http://bugs.sakaiproject.org/jira/browse/SAK-8566 Recommendation: Do not use # or ' in folder names.
Resources does not accept URLs greater than 255 characters including sub-folder names.
Sites listed in ‘More Sites’ in Interact and in ‘My Subjects’ at my.csu
Sites shown on tabs or listed under ‘More Sites’ within CSU Interact are those sites for which your status is set to 'Active'. Sites for which your status is 'Inactive' will not be visible within the Interact environment, whereas all subject sites to which you belong are shown in the ‘My Subjects’ window at my.csu, regardless of your 'Active/Inactive' status. Clicking on a site from the ‘My Subjects’ window for which your status is 'Inactive' will result in a 'Site not available' message. For more information about 'Active/Inactive' status, see http://www.csu.edu.au/division/landt/interact/help/siteinfo.htm
WebDAV
Users may find that the instructions for using WebDAV for uploading multiple resources are unsatisfactory. An interim solution for XP users is to simply click on the link shown in the site's WebDAV instructions (as shown below). If this is unsuccessful, try closing and re-opening Internet Explorer (after first logging out of CSU Interact).
