The current QAO is able to handover their permissions to another potential QAO via the Roles pop-up in the Quality Assurance screen. That is, if the QAO is required to change for any reason or a team is required to perform QA in sequence, the current QAO is able to handover their QA permissions to any potential QA Officer listed in the SCMF for the subject.
To learn more about how to manage a team performing QA in sequence, see 'Quality Assurance by a team of QA Officers' below.
A potential QAO becomes the current QAO by either:
| ▪ | being the first QAO to add a comment or complete QA; or |
| ▪ | having the current QAO role handed over to them by the QAO who previously possessed QA permissions. |
The current QAO must:
| 1) | click on the Roles icon within their QA screen |
| 2) | click on the ‘make QAO’ icon adjacent the name of the staff member who they wish to assign the QAO role. |
Automated email notifications to both parties will confirm that QAO permissions have been removed from the original QAO and transferred to the new QAO.
Please note that if the current QAO is not available to handover their permissions to another potential QAO (as per the SCMF), a DIT Service Desk Request must be logged to have the permissions transferred.
Quality Assurance by a team of QA Officers
If a team of QAOs are required to review an Outline separately (as opposed to reviewing together as a group), the 'Quality Assurance' list provides functionality to enable the current QAO to handover their role to another potential QAO. To learn how to handover the QAO role, see Change QAO.
Note the Outline must not be 'QA Approved' or 'Revision Requested' until each QAO has performed their review and an outcome been agreed, i.e. the steps involved are:
| 1) | The first QAO performs their review and adds their comment; then enters the Roles function within their QA list to handover the QAO role to the next QAO. However, if the first QAO does not add any comment, the next QAO is able to enter the QA Outline screen to perform their review without any intervention from the first QAO, i.e. all QAOs can enter the QA Outline screen until any QAO adds a comment to become the current QAO. |
| 2) | Step 1 must be repeated until all QAOs have performed their review and handed over their role to the next QAO. |
| 3) | The last QAO must finalise QA by clicking the button to suit the outcome as agreed by the team (either QA Approved or Revision Required). |
Note that regardless of who is the current QAO, all QAOs are able to enter the 'View' screen for the Outline to view any existing comments and click on the Roles icon to display the name of the current and all potential QAOs.
