My Outlines > Delete an Outline

WARNING - USE WITH CAUTION

The delete function permanently deletes the Subject Outline and all of its authored content - it will NOT be recoverable.

Delete removes the Outline and its content from the tool. Delete is available to the Author prior to the Outline obtaining QA approval. Once the Outline has obtained QA approval the Delete function will become unavailable however the Outline can be varied by the Author. To learn more see Vary an Outline.

A pop-up message will ask you to confirm that you wish to delete the Outline - once the deletion is confirmed the Outline will not be recoverable.

Confirming the deletion will remove the Subject Outline from the tool permanently -

it will NOT be recoverable

Example scenario when the Delete function may be required

▪	The Author changed their mind about which Outline they wish to clone to create a new Outline.

▪

There is a change to the Subject Coordinator and there has been little/no editing to the Outline. Once the Author deletes the Outline, the subject offering/s will become available for the new Subject Coordinator to select during the 'Create New Outline' process and become the new Author. Alternatively, the current Author can use the 'Change Author' functionality to handover their authoring permissions to the new Subject Coordinator. To learn more see Change Author.
