Search for an Outline > Search Results

A successful search will return a list of results - an example results list is depicted below. An unsuccessful search will display a 'No Outlines available' message in red text. The 'New Search' button can be clicked to initiate a new search.

Access to Outlines

Permissions to access an Outline from a Search results list is determined by role and access type. Outline accessibility can be determined by clicking on the Outline to display the pop-up menu options or by the colour in which the Outline displays.

Subject Coordinator or Nominal Subject Coordinator	Public	Users can select 'View' from the results list pop-up menu. Light blue results are Outlines which have 'public' access or a status of Awaiting Publication or Published	Light blue
Subject Coordinator or Nominal Subject Coordinator	Private	No permissions - user cannot select to 'View' the Outline unless the Author changes the access to 'public' or until the Outline obtains a status of Awaiting Publication	Grey

Sorting the Search Results List

Single column sort can be performed by clicking on the header of the column by which you wish to sort.

Multiple column sort can be performed by multiple columns by holding down the 'Shift' button down on your keyboard while clicking on multiple column headers.

Search Results List Pages

'Show items' per page can be changed by selecting the desired number from the 'Show X Items' dropdown box which displays top right of the results list.

Navigate between pages using the left and right arrows displayed top right of the results list to navigate between pages.

The single left / right arrow will navigate to the previous / next page of the results.

The double left / right arrows will navigate to the first/last page of the results.
