Versioning

A Subject Outline is versioned once it is published to the subject site Subject Outline tool, i.e. Version 1.  If the Author subsequently makes a variation to the published Outline, the next iteration of the Outline is then also versioned upon publication, i.e. Version 2, etc.  Outlines are also 'date stamped' with the date of publication.  While an Outline has a Draft or Revision Required status, 'Version 0' and 'Not Yet Published' will display in place of the version number and date of publication.

Superseded versions (if any) are stored in PDF format only.  They can be accessed by staff via the 'View' screen for the Outline within the My Workspace Subject Outlines tool.  Within the View screen, superseded print versions are stored above the line which separates the functionality for staff from the 'Student's eye view' of the Outline.

The latest iteration (whether undergoing revision or published) displays below the line as part of the Student's eye view of the Outline. Please note that once a new version is published to the subject site Subject Outline tool, the superseded print version will no longer be available to students.

The version number and date of publication of an Outline can be found within the:

My Workspace Subject Outlines tool 'Outline Search' results list; and
footer information of the Print Version (PDF format).
