Technical supporting documentation
1. The following documents have been prepared by DIT, and illustrate key features of a number of CSU Interact tools and their functions with step-by-step instructions. Each document will open in a new window.
Adding users to your CSU Interact site
Adding a guest (ie non-CSU) participant to your site
Creating a Project site
Permissions and Roles explained
2. A number of tools use a text editor (called the FCK editor using the initials of the author) that has the appearance shown below. A Users Guide for the FCK text editor is available at http://docs.fckeditor.net/FCKeditor_2.x/Users_Guide
3. Recent improvements have been made to the import & export functionality of Modules and Test Centre as well as some other minor improvements.
- One such improvement removes the restriction where tables were forced to display at 100% width in tools which use the default FCK editor (Modules, Announcements, Calendar, Blog & Sign up tool) as well as some minor indenting changes.
- It is recommended that after the change staff check the display of tables and do any necessary reformatting, especially on Modules work done since the August 2012 upgrade.
- Performance improvements have also been made across a range of areas within Interact. In particular, the ‘Site Info’ tool loads significantly faster and the membership tool will now work, allowing you to view your memberships and join new Interact sites.
Handy hints on how to modify existing table settings in the Interact editors can be found here (.pdf)
Staff members requiring assistance with any of these formatting issues please log a job at https://online.csu.edu.au/de/dewsrsc.sqt under Media Services > Interact Tools Help.
