Over 100 CSU staff attended the CSU Learning and Teaching Conference, held 28-29 September 2005 at the Centre for Professional Development, Bathurst.
Conference Themes
The Learning and Teaching Conference had several major themes and many professional presentations addressed the following:
- Curriculum design
- Professional development of university teachers (including Performance Based Funding, communities of practice, working in teams)
- Professional practice (both practicum component and education of professional practitioners)
- Student diversity (including learning styles, cultural diversity, rural and regional students, at risk students, perceptions of academic integrity)
- Technology and learning resources
- Experience with international students
- Alternatives to lecture/tutorial model (including blended mode, flexible delivery)
