More than a Library, the new Learning Commons at the Orange campus is a student centred space equipped with a range of innovative learning and social spaces that provide the gamut of study options from collaborative group study pods through to quiet individual study areas. A mix of computing and multimedia equipment facilitates opportunities for group and individual learning. Laptops are available for loan. Wireless is available throughout the Commons and in the courtyard and gardens. The 24 hour space provides students with access to ‘round the clock’ computing and study spaces. A range of food and drink vending machines are located in the Commons.
The Commons’ Parents’ room provides a study space for students with small children. The room includes facilities to feed and change children and is equipped with a supply of toys. The Assistive Technology room provides customised equipment and software for students with a physical or sensory impairment.
A current CSU ID card is required to access the Learning Commons outside Library Hours.
After-hours: Place your CSU card in front of the Proximity Reader to the right of the automatic doors. Please note you need to present your card to a proximity card reader to exit the area.
No card is required to access the Commons or the Library during Library hours.
